DAV Schools Competition Finals Overview

At the conclusion of the five regional debating rounds, the top placed teams in each grade from each region will progress into the state finals. These are a series of knock-out debates hosted throughout terms three and four. Only the winning team from each debate progresses to the next level, with only the top two teams from each grade in the state making it to the grand final.

All A and B grade debates are secret topics with one hour preparation time. All C and D grade debates are prepared topics, with between one and two weeks preparation time. Speaking times remain the same as in the regional rounds.
