BaySpeak Public Speaking Competition

The second year of the Bayspeak Public Speaking Competition, organised by the Brighton Rotary Club,  provided an excellent opportunity for students from Bayside schools to test their speaking skills against their peers. 

St Leonard’s was fortunate to have all four of our students successfully progress to the finals:

Paddy Wilson (Year 8), Alicia Park (Year 9), Richie Huang (Year 10) and Ana Fernandes Haras (Year 11). The final was held at St Leonard’s College in the Leonardian Centre which was an impressive backdrop for the aspiring public speakers.

Alicia Park was named runner up in the Junior section with all students performing brilliantly in what was a very high standard competition. Alicia together with Tahlia Page (Year 11) had already received very favourable feedback in the Ainger Peck Competition (Richmond Rotary).
