Protect Yourself Online
There are a few simple steps you can follow in order to start protecting you and your family online.
- Your personal information is valuable. Protect it.
- Create strong passwords and change them regularly.
- Use an anti-virus program (if applicable) and turn on automatic updates or regularly update your software.
- If you don’t know who sent the email, delete it.
- Think before you act online. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
- Do not respond to a cyberbully. Block the person from contacting you online and report the incident to authorities if the cyberbullying continues.
