  • Consider the idea you explored in Outcome 1. and respond in a different way. 
  • Mind map your new direction.
  • Find a new artwork by the artist you researched in AOS 1 and respond to it.
  • Find THREE new artists. Respond to the ideas expressed by the artists or conveyed by their artworks. 
  • RESEARCH and dig deep – add expert opinion, quotes, gain knowledge about the issue you are exploring in your work.
  • Explore AT LEAST 3 different materials, techniques or processes inspired by exhibitions you have seen. Strive to gain mastery!
  • Keep the feedback from the critique on hand. Refer to it and let it guide your exploration.
  • Compose and create more refined artworks.
  • Ongoing: explicitly apply the Interpretive Lenses in reflective annotations

Art forms, materials and techniques

  • Experiment widely with art forms, materials and techniques in your visual diary. Remember these are small experiments not final artworks. Annotate.

Elements, principles and aesthetic qualities

  • Mood board: internet images/artworks/magazines/pieces of cloth/fabrics/Bunnings paint cards looking at the feeling/mood you wish your audience to take away.
  • List of words to describe the aesthetic you are wish to portray.

Reflection and evaluation (ongoing)

  • How have do your visual responses relate to the original idea?
  • Apply the appropriate Interpretive lenses in your reflections
  • Do your responses build on your findings from AOS 1?
  • How can you extend your ideas further?
  • Evaluate use of visual language.
