Future Warning

Important reminder…Context Assessment Task next Thursday in the KWC from 8:20 am.

Homework: continue reading and writing about the future. If you have time this weekend, have a look at another of Ray Bradbury’s visions for the future. Try listening to these short stories (PDF links to written text provided underneath):

What warnings does Alfonso Cuaron’s ‘Children of Men’ make?

*People in power can often manipulate reality and what others believe to be the truth.  *Violence often results in a continuation of violence.  *Current conflicts will affect our future if we don’t act on them now.  *Violence and warfare will only lead to devastation and chaos.  *If we do not confront our problems of today the concerns of tomorrow will be far worse.
