Unit 1. Final Artwork – Refinement and Resolution
Students must select their best compositions or compose new ones to refine and resolve through the production of an artwork using one of the following media.
The creative process for the development of this work needs to be recorded through documentation and design in the visual diary.
- Your brainstorming and sources of inspiration for conceptual and visual.
- Sources of original images to assist with your composition (photographs) presented in an annotated contact sheet. See visual diary examples here.
- Composition designs and development.
- Production of the artworks including some photographic records and annotations. This should be accompanied by technical information pertaining to the artform, materials and techniques.
- Photography of the resolved artworks with titles and didactic information below it as seen in galleries and reputable online art sites. artist name, title, year, media, size

Using a variety of media on specialist paper with a focus on colour, tone and textures (Elements of Art) to create effects of contrast, movement and scale (Principles of Art).
