I have received a couple of emails from people wanting to know about taking gifts for people in China. The itinerary has changed from previous years, and as we will not be staying with people in villages this year, I suspect that the taking of gifts is not necessary.
By all means, if you want to visit your local $2 gift shop and pick up a furry koala or a kangaroo, or a boomerang, you might have the opportunity to give these to kids you see in the parks we visit. Keep in mind, we are taking those footballs, netballs, soccer balls and Rubiks cubes which we can give out to people at the Aiding Centre we visit, as well as a few villages we may pass through on our countryside sojourns. I will ask a few more of you to take some more of those sporting supplies – we have plenty to distribute.
