Day 4 – Melbourne Ultimate Challenge
Date: Tuesday 2nd September
Time & Location: 8.50am – Federation Square
- You must be on time!
You will need:
- Myki
- Mobile phone
- Pen
- Water bottle
- Money for lunch or BYO
- Snacks
- Sturdy shoes
- School appropriate casual clothes/costume
- Curiosity, enthusiasm & agency
The day will conclude at around 2.45pm where you will be dismissed from Flinders Street Station to go to your Home Station.

Check Point 1 – Federation Square Atrium – between 9.30am – 10.30am.
Check Point 2 – Bourke Street Mall (Outside Myer) – anytime between 11am – 11.30am
Check Point 3 – State library – between 12pm – 12.30pm
Check Point 4 – Federation Square Atrium – between 1pm – 2pm

Preparation Tasks
1. Go through the Melbourne Ultimate Challenge Booklet and make a team plan as to how you would like to approach the day. you might even want to create a map or list of locations to aim for. Here is an example of how students have planned in previous years.
2. Create a page in your Portfolio featuring your team’s theme and ‘Uniform’ for the day. Remember you receive points for this on the day. Include colours, pictures or a brainstorm of ideas for the day.

Now that you have had the opportunity to travel widely across the Melbourne CBD and have found many significant landmarks/areas, complete the following 3 – 2 – 1 Thinking Routine into your Portfolios.
