Will began his playing career as an electric blues guitarist and worked in his teens recording with Mushroom Records Australia. After leaving school, Will travelled to London and attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He studied classical guitar performance under the tutelage of two internationally renowned guitarists; Robert Brightmore and David Russell. He also learnt the Lute and Theorbo with early music specialist David Miller.

In his twenties, Will gave many recitals as soloist and as a member various small ensembles. Will also developed his skills on the electric guitar at the Guitar Institute in London (Jazz Improvisation Course). He was a busy session guitarist, recording and performing in various funk, soul and blues bands alongside his work as a classical guitarist. Since returning to Australia, Will has continued to perform classical music in ensembles and as a soloist. He now devotes most of his spare time to refining his skills as an improviser. He currently performs as part of a jazz duo around Melbourne while keeping a very busy teaching schedule.
