Costs
There are a variety of charges and costs that may occur when learning music at St Leonard’s College.
Private Music Tuition in 2023
- Standard lessons – based on 30 minute weekly lessons* – $906 per semester
- Extended lessons – based on 40 minute weekly lessons* – $1182 per semester
* Weekly lessons may not occur when affected by events such as camps, illness, excursions, exam periods etc
Instrument Hire in 2023
- $145 per semester for private music tuition
- There is a reduced hire rate of $145 per year for students who require an instrument for use in their year 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 curriculum music classes. Where a student is hiring multiple instruments, this discount applies only to the instrument they are using in their curriculum music class.
- Please note that while the instrument is insured against theft and fire at all times, you must meet the first $600 of any claim resulting from damage or loss while it is in your child’s custody.
Books and Resources
Students taking private music lessons may require resources as indicated by their music teacher. These resources will be supplied to students and charged to the family’s St Leonard’s College account.
