Joshua Legg is a recent graduate of the James Morrison Academy of Music in Mount Gambier, where he majored in Jazz Performance. Whilst completing his studies, Joshua gained a love of all musical styles and an interest in fostering creative expression on the instrument. During his second year he was chosen by James Morrison to assist in mentoring high school students at Jazz camps around Australia, sparking his passion for delivering information and sharing the joy of music.

Upon returning to Melbourne, Joshua commenced his career as an educator by opening his music studio in Wantirna, where he provides private tuition to students of all ages and abilities. He has also held teaching positions at Cornish College and Wantirna College, where his responsibilities included running percussion ensembles, concert bands, and instrumental tutoring.

Outside of his teaching schedule, Joshua pursues a performance career where he plays on both percussion and drumkit in a range of musical contexts including musical theatre, wedding and corporate acts, and jazz ensembles. Constantly refining his skills, Joshua strives to be a versatile musician who can nurture the musical talent and personal wellbeing of his students.
