Kellie graduated from The University of Melbourne with a degree in Music Education and holds her AMusA and LMusA in piano, the latter with distinction. She has worked as a freelance accompanist, musical director, conductor and repetiteur in professional, amateur and school environments.

Her professional theatre engagements include Beauty and the Beast, Chess, Mamma Mia! and The Wizard of Oz. She was a member of the Australian International Orchestra when they toured Australia and New Zealand in An Evening with Michael Crawford. Kellie’s musical direction credits include shows with WLOC and Whitehorse and countless school musicals.

She worked as a teacher of piano, voice and theory at a number of schools including MLC, Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School, Korowa and Melbourne Girls’ Grammar.

Kellie joined Lauriston Girls’ School as Head of Keyboard in 2005 and became their Director of Music in 2011. During her time at Lauriston, Kellie taught VCE and IB music, conducted the Senior Choir and Orchestra and musically directed the school’s junior and senior musicals.

Kellie enjoys arranging music to fit the specific needs of an ensemble and wrote many of the arrangements used by her choirs over the years. She arranged massed singing items for Concerts and Valedictory Evenings at Lauriston during her time as Director of Music. She is a passionate advocate of the benefits of singing and instrumental playing for all students and loves to see how music empowers students as part of their holistic education.
