Nicholas Corkeron is an emerging trumpet player and brass teacher in the Melbourne music scene, frequently performing with ensembles around Melbourne and the country. Nicholas comes from South-East Queensland, growing up in a family of professional musicians. Prior to his acceptance into Australian National Academy of Music in 2021, he completed a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.

Nicholas has enjoyed performing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Western Australia Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra as well as Camerata: Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra since graduating from university. Before coming to Melbourne, Nicholas pursued playing chamber music in a variety of different ensemble settings, having spent three years as second solo cornet in the Brisbane Excelsior Brass Band while accumulating over a dozen musical theatre shows as well as two ballets with Queensland Ballet Company. Also being a singer, Nicholas spent 6 months in the Australian Voices in 2019 as a bass.
