Nick Pietsch is an accomplished musician and educator who brings his experience and passion as a performer to teaching. He also keeps busy as an in-demand session musician, and as a member of several Melbourne and Australian bands.
Nick completed his Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) at Adelaide University. Since moving to Melbourne, his versatility as a musician has seen him performing and recording with artists across a variety of genres, including traditional and contemporary jazz, Latin American music, funk, big band, commercial, hip hop, soul and more.
He performs regularly with Melbourne brass band Horns of Leroy, and tours with Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods, performing sold-out festivals and headline performances around Australia. Other artists he has worked with include Vance Joy, Angus Stone, Natalie Cole, The Black Sorrows and Kate Ceberano.
As an educator, Nick is committed to imparting both his love of music and the importance of hard work to his students, and is dedicated to helping them achieve their goals.
