Growing up Oliver Downes learned piano and cello, undertaking a B.Mus focussed on Classical Performance through UNSW.  Since moving to Melbourne in 2015, Oliver has taught both instruments and provided his abilities as an accompanist at various schools in regional and metropolitan areas, mostly in the Bayside area.  Outside of teaching, Oliver is a dedicated singer-songwriter, which has resulted in the release of several albums and extensive touring in Australia.
