ACS Swimming Camp
Summer Holidays
Gold Coast, Queensland Jan 21-24
The St Leonard’s College ACS Swimming program has a well-established culture of developing skills, promoting physical fitness, and building a strong team culture of inclusivity, respect and commitment. We are looking forward to defending our ACS Swimming Carnival Championship win in 2024, with a record-setting 10th consecutive title in our sights.
In 2024, the College is planning to hold an ACS Swimming Camp on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The trip would be open to year 7 to 12 students in 2024 that will be eligible to represent the St Leonard’s College ACS Swimming team. The trip is planned to run over four days, spending time swimming at the high-performance Gold Coast Sports Complex; including strength and conditioning training sessions as well as time exploring the beautiful Gold Coast coastline.
This camp is to prepare St Leonard’s Students for the ACS Team, therefore students must have competed in swimming carnivals prior to this camp, including the St Leonard’s College House swimming, ACS swimming and other competitive swimming meets that can be assessed on application.
Dates: Sunday 21 January – Wednesday 24 January 2024.
Accommodation: 3 Nights at Gold Coast Sports Complex, Runaway Bay
Indicative Cost: approx. $1000 – $1500. Subject to change.
This program is capped at 32 students.
Package includes:
- Transport from the College to accommodation (coach from school to Tullamarine
Airport, direct flights to Gold Coast), and transport to all activities on the program.
- 3 Nights’ accommodation at Gold Coast Performance Centre, with breakfast,
lunch and dinner included daily.
- 4 Swimming Sessions
- 2 Gym Sessions
- Team Building Activities
- Surfing lesson
Students will need to purchase lunch on the first day. If meals are available for purchase on flights, students will need to pay for these themselves.

Terms and conditions of ACS Swimming Camp, January 2024
- If minimum numbers are not met, trip will not run. In this event, a full refund will be issued. The College reserves the right to amend pricing if our supply costs increase between now and the event.
- If we have more applicants than positions available, all applicants will be placed into a ballot (ensuring a balance of year levels and genders).
- All applicants will be screened, considering academic efforts, behaviour, and co-curricular involvement (such as attendance at sport), this may include consultation with Heads of Year / Heads of School / Co-curricular Coordinators.
- Successful applicants will be notified by 4 October 2023, and the full payment of the trip will be due by 13 October 2023.
- Payment is non-refundable.
- School fees must be fully paid before date of travel.
- Please see college insurance documents, available below. Note these covers students whilst on the program but does not provide any cover for any injury / illness prior to the program, that may prevent a student from attending. We recommend families get their own insurance for this.
