Writing Slam Poetry
So now that you have been able to explore examples of slam poetry and have learned about poetic devices, you are now ready to start trying to write your own poem! This is not an easy task: poetry is about getting the best words in the best order for the best effect. It takes time, practice and thought.
You will need to follow a process when writing. Creativity is essential, but so will be focussing and refining your words until they’re the best they can be.
