Term 1: Communication + perspective

How do we communicate our perspectives?

This unit will allow students to explore how they can share their experience and viewpoints through a range of different mediums. We will begin by exploring ‘what makes ‘good’ writing’ as we look specifically at creative writing. This exploration will culminate in students completing a short descriptive piece. 

Following this, we will study the art of persuasion and consider how to communicate a point of view on a myriad of issues. Students will be required to deliver a persuasive speech as part of this unit.
